The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor brings all the Tremor goodness to the smaller truck.
Not content with pretty much owning the full size truck market, Ford are trying to dominate the smaller truck market too, with the Maverick and Ranger.
It’s the former we’re talking about today. Specifically, the 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor.
The Tremor
The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor is an off road variant of the truck that delivers impressive performance on or off the road. It’s no Raptor but it’s also more practical on a daily basis.
This new version gets new springs and suspension configuration, new shocks, new stronger half shafts and a new transmission cooler.
There’s also new 17 inch alloy wheels with Tremor accents and new off road tires.
All to help the Maverick handle off road better than before.
Ford has also given the 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor Trail Control, the cruise control-type setup that lets you set a maximum speed at which to cross terrain.
The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor also gets blacked out exterior trim and a new grille. The lights have all been tinted to match the new trim to complete the look.
Tremor appearance package
There’s also a Tremor appearance package that adds black decals for the side and the hood and some black side mirror caps and roof trim.
You also get interior trim elements with stitched Tremor logos and orange trim on some interior areas for a little extra bling.
2023 Ford Maverick
The 2023 Ford Maverick has gone down well since its release last year. It looks good, has practical interiors and can carry and tow decent loads for its size.
It mainly uses a 2.5-litre hybrid engine that delivers 191 hp and a CVT transmission to drive the front wheels.
While this combination may be different for Ford trucks, it works well, offering decent levels of power, manoeuvrability and forward progress when on the road.
There’s also a 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine with 250 hp and an 8 speed transmission driving all wheels, which is also worth checking out.
All Maverick models are crew cab, so can seat four in comfort, 5 at a push. The cabins are decent with lots of storage options and some nice interior finishes.
Ford has done a great job balancing practicality with comfort and has managed to avoid the worst wipe-clean vinyls and cheaper finishes.
Overall, the interior of the 2023 Ford Maverick is a nice place to be.
The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor is a great option if you like the look or think you’ll spend a lot of time off road. The standard Maverick is also surprisingly good so you won’t be left wanting whatever model you choose!
