New Green Jeep Colours: Gecko Green & Gorilla Glass

New Jeep colours have been announced! both options for the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator. Both will be available as factory options rather than aftermarket, offering even more choice for the two vehicles.
First, is the Gecko Green colour. It’s a colour for those who aren’t shy that’s for sure and a colour only a mother would love, but it’s definitely a colour!
Second, is the Gorilla Glass windshield. Formerly available as an aftermarket part but will now be available as a factory option.
Gorilla Glass
Gorilla Glass is often found on phones and tablet screens. It’s toughened glass that uses a special chemical mix to make it much stronger without impacting visibility or clarity.
It uses standard glass sheets on the outside with a sandwich of Gorilla Glass in the centre, providing excellent visibility and impact protection.
The glass should be able to withstand cracks, chips and impacts much better than with the standard windshield.
Even better, the new factory option will charge just $95 USD for the Gorilla Glass rather than the $793 it cost as an aftermarket part.
2021 Jeep Gladiator
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is a midsize pickup that can go almost anywhere a Wrangler can. To say it’s just a truck does it an injustice.
The big Jeep is a very capable off road vehicle ideal for those who want to haul loads in the wilderness. A niche to be sure, but superbly satisfied by this vehicle.
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator looks just like a Wrangler from the front. It has the same front grille with rounded lights, the same vertical vents, high ground clearance, low overhang and boxy design.
It’s only when you see it in profile that things change. Where the rear would normally be, there’s a truck bed. It’s a modest size but is large enough for camping gear, tools, lumber or whatever you might want to take into the wild.
Inside, you get the same basic cabin as the Wrangler. We say basic positively, as everything is very well put together, but you won’t get soft leather, huge touchscreens and all the comforts here.
Instead, you get wipe down surfaces, very supportive seats, solid switchgear and the rugged reassurance you want from a vehicle of this caliber.
Under the hood
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator uses the ever-present 3.6-litre V6 engine that produces 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. It’s a solid and dependable engine that delivers all the power you need. There is also a 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine that produces 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque.
You can use either a 6 speed manual or 8 speed automatic transmission, although the diesel is auto only.
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator comes with very similar off road features and options as the Wrangler and has many of the same trims.
